This web site is intended to facilitate public comment on the development of the Massachusetts
Ocean Plan. It is geared toward streamlining the online public comment process and allowing comments

Ocean Plan Web Site provides details on the Oceans Act of 2008, the current planning process, and
the policy context for ocean planning in Massachusetts.
In response to the Oceans Act of 2008, the Massachusetts Executive Office of Energy and Environmental
Affairs (EEA) is developing a comprehensive plan for the management of our ocean waters. This portal,
a collaborative effort between EEA and the Massachusetts Ocean Partnership (MOP) is designed to
make commenting on the Massachusetts Ocean Plan as easy as possible for the public through:
- Stay Informed – View the schedule for the 18 public Listening Sessions around the state and/or
sign up for ocean planning alerts and the quarterly newsletter.
- Virtual Listening Sessions – Can’t make one of the meetings? Attend online by watching a video
or reading a transcript of each of the public Listening Sessions.
- Comment Online – Review the ocean planning principles provided in the Oceans Act of 2008 and
give your input through an online comment form.
- Comment Log – Review comments that have been submitted to date in this online comment log.
